MEXT Scholarship 2025

The MEXT (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship 2025, offered by the Japanese government, provides international students with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and specialized training programs in Japan. stipend:

  1. Undergraduate: ¥117,000 (~$800).
  2. Master’s: ¥144,000 (~$1,000).
  3. Doctoral: ¥145,000 (~$1,050).

Elegiblity
  • Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.

  • Age: Applicants must have been born on or after April 2, 2000.(

    1. Undergraduate: Must be under 24 years.
    2. Research: Must be under 35 years.

  • Academic Background:

    • Undergraduate: Completion of 12 years of school education or equivalent.

    • Graduate: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

    • PhD: Master’s degree or equivalent.

    • Health: Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy to pursue studies in Japan.

    • Arrival in Japan: Applicants must be able to arrive in Japan between April 1 and April 7, 2025, or between September and October 2025, depending on the program
