The prestigious scholarship is available to foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad to study in Italy. The scholarship program is designed to promote international collaboration in culture, science, and technology, Italian language and culture, and the Italian economic system.

Advantages of the MAECI Scholarship:
Financial Assistance: An overall grant of €9,000, paid in the form of three instalments (€4,500, €2,500, and €2,000).
Tuition Fee Exemption: Exemption from enrollment and tuition fees in participating schools.
Health and Medical Insurance: Throughout the period of the grant.

Though the scholarship can be utilized to study at any Italian university, the applicants are advised to look for universities with good QS World University Rankings to increase their academic and professional opportunities.

Eligibility:

  • Eligible Countries: Citizens from 141 countries are eligible to apply.

  • Age Limits:

    • Undergraduate (UG): 23 years or younger.

    • Graduate (G): 28 years or younger.

    • Postgraduate (PG): 30 years or younger.

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must hold the necessary academic qualifications required for enrollment in the chosen Italian university/institution.

  • Language Proficiency:

    • Italian-taught Programs: B2 level in Italian.

    • English-taught Programs: B2 level in English.

    • Italian Language and Culture Courses: A2 level in Italian.

    • PhD Programs: No language proficiency proof required

Types of Scholarships:

  • Undergraduate Programs: 3-4 years.

  • Master’s Degree Programs: 2 years.

  • PhD Programs: Variable duration.

  • Courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM): Variable duration.

  • Italian Language and Culture Courses: 3 months

Stipend Amount: Total of €9,000, distributed in three installments.
